Gulf Cup 25 Inspection Team Ends Basrah Visit

Basrah, April 08 (QNA) - The inspection team from the committee studying the files to host the 25th edition of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Championship (Gulf Cup 25) finished its visit today to the Iraqi city of Basrah on an inspection trip for the facilities, stadiums, hotels, transportation and infrastructure needed for the next Gulf Cup championship. The Head of the inspection delegation, Dr. Hamid Al Shaibani,expressed in a press conference held today at the conclusion of the delegation's visit to Basrah, his gratitude for the warm reception, noting that the Basrah Governorate and its governor have provided everything to facilitate the mission of the delegation, which is a routine task that includes all countries that submit files to host the tournaments. Al Shaibani expressed his complete satisfaction with the good preparations he and the accompanying delegation witnessed, which represent messages of reassurance to the Gulf federations that Iraq has completed what it is requested and that the notes recorded by the delegation are general technical notes and we have full confidence in completing them on the next visit. For his part, Basrah Governor Asaad Al Eidani expressed his confidence in Basra's technical, administrative and public capabilities to succeed in the championship in the best way, noting that working in a team spirit between the Ministry of Youth, the normalization body and the local government greatly facilitated our work to overcome difficulties.(QNA)
