Malaysia Brand Day 2026 Set To Showcase Homegrown Brands

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- The inaugural Malaysia Brand Day 2026 is poised to be a key platform for attracting foreign investors and facilitating funding opportunities for Malaysian homegrown brands, said its organiser Brand Day (M) Sdn Bhd.

Brand Day’s director Carrie Ee said the event will bring together international investors and buyers to support business expansion and export readiness, positioning Malaysian brands for growth beyond the local market.

“We want the entire (brand) ecosystem to come together. We want to showcase the brands and give them a platform to shine so that people know about these companies,” she said during the Malaysia Brand Day press conference here on Tuesday.

Ee said that Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is supporting the event for exhibitors by bringing in 20 premium buyers from ASEAN and China for investment and export matching.

“We want to help homegrown brands if they are interested in bringing their brands out of Malaysia, for example, China, Thailand or Indonesia and currently MATRADE is helping us to arrange, and we are targeting 20 ASEAN and China buyers,” she said.

Regarding small and medium enterprise (SME) participation, Ee said the event also aims to create a platform for investors to access young SME entrepreneurs who create scalable Malaysian products.

The inaugural edition of the Malaysia Brand Day exhibition will take place from Jan 8-10, 2026, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, featuring homegrown brands across 16 industries, including Zus Coffee, A Cut Above, Applecrumby, Carlo Rino and Ogawa, among others.

The event is an initiative proposed by the Branding Association of Malaysia to celebrate and elevate Malaysian brands both locally and internationally.
