Iranian taekwondo team coaches denied visas for Int'l competitions

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA - World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), in an unusual measure, has not issued visas for coaches and technical squad of an Iranian team heading for Canada. An informed source in Iran's National Taekwondo Team told IRNA that Iranian junior taekwondo team left Tehran for Canada on Friday morning while seven members of coaching, technical, and medical squads of the team had to remain in Tehran due to visa denial. Head of Iran's Taekwondo Federation Mohammad Pooladgar also could not accompany the team due to the same reason. 2016 World Junior Taekwondo Competitions are slated to start in Burnaby, Canada on Wednesday, Nov 16. 1378/IRNA
