Pakistan, Iran FMs discuss issues of mutual interests

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have held a phone call to consult on the latest bilateral, regional, and international developments. Amirabdollahian appreciated Pakistan’s stance in condemning a recent terrorist attack by Daesh on the holy shrine of Shahcheragh in Shiraz, Fars Province. The Iranian top diplomat expressed solidarity with Pakistan over recent floodings in the neighboring country, underlining that the Islamic Republic is ready to assist the noble government and people of Pakistan in this respect. He further expressed satisfaction with the growing relationship between the two friendly countries, calling for the expansion of cooperation concerning developments in Afghanistan and support for resolving Afghan refugees’ woes. The Pakistani FM, for his part, referred to the historical and amicable ties between Iran and Pakistan, underlining the need for improving the collaborations in mutual, regional, and international developments.
