13 villages in Kyrgyzstan ban sale of spirits after 83 years old man murders his wife being drunken

Osh, July 19 / Kabar /. In Zhapalak village council, which is in the south of Kyrgyzstan, local residents took a decision to ban the sale of alcoholic beverages, the press service of Osh Mayor’s Office reported. The decision was made at a meeting of local residents, where the majority voted to impose a ban on the sale of alcohol in the village council. Local entrepreneurs, youth and residents collected money for which they bought alcohol products in all stores on the territory of the village council for the amount of 400 thousand soms ( about $6000) and eliminated in a special landfill. Also, the locals took a decision to fine those who will sell alcoholic beverages. They also formed a commission, which will monitor the implementation of the decision on the territory of 13 villages that are part of the Zhapalak village council. According to media reports, the decision to impose a ban was taken after the murder committed by an 83-year-old resident in a state of intoxication. The old man killed his 79 years wife by stabbing.
