Int'l visitors welcome to Thailand's BOI Fair early next year
BANGKOK, December 28 (TNA) - International visitors are welcome to Thailand's BOI Fair 2011, scheduled to be held in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok's outskirts, from January 5-20, 2012 under the theme “Going Green for the Future", though the grand business event was postponed from the last quarter of this year due to impacts from massive floods recently.
Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) Secretary General Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble acknowledged that a royal pavilion, designated as a special zone exhibiting initiated projects and philosophies, as well as activities of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, appears to be the most highlight of the BOI Fair 2011.
At the royal pavilion, Atchaka said, Ukrainian artists will also be present to create amazing artworks on the sand, along with a public display of talented musical compositions of the beloved Thai monarch.
According to the BOI chief, international visitors are also welcome to other well-decorated business pavilions inside the 16-day event exhibiting innovations and advance technologies, especially environmentally-friendly master pieces reflecting Thailand’s steadily-industrial development.
Paving the way for the grand BOI Fair early next year, the Thai Ministry of Industry is organising the "Mini BOI Fair 2011" at newly-opened Robinson Rama 9 Department Store in Bangkok from December 26-29 to promote the upcoming BOI Fair.
Meanwhile, the BOI board was set to hold a new meeting today at which overall investment aspects in Thailand in 2011 were included as top agenda, covering officially-approved investment promotional projects worth over 600 billion baht and a promotional target in 2012. (TNA)
