UAE Warm up for Gulf Cup with Victory Over Yemen

Doha, December 25 (QNA) - UAE's national football team on Tuesday beat Yemen 2-0 in a friendly in Doha as the two sides prepare for the 21st Gulf Cup, due to be held in Bahrain next month. Amer Abdulrahman and Omar Abdulrahman were on spot scoring for the Emirati team at 61' and 82' respectively, with the latter missing a penalty at 71'. The UAE team are in Doha for a training camp until January 3 ahead of the regional tournament, which takes place from January 5 to 18 in Manama. The Whites will contest Group A against hosts Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, whom they play on the tournament's opening day. On the other hand, Yemen were pitted against Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq in Group B. (QNA)
