UAE to Play Yemen Again in Doha

Doha, December 27 (QNA) - UAE's national football team will face Yemen Saturday in Doha for the second time in the space of five days, after initial opponents Tajikistan said they could not make it to Doha. The two sides played on Tuesday as they prepare for the 21st Gulf Cup next month, with UAE emerging victorious 2-0 thanks to goals from Amer Abdulrahman and Omar Abdulrahman. The UAE side is in Doha for a training camp until January 3 ahead of the regional tournament, which takes place from January 5 to 18 in Manama. The Whites will contest Group A against hosts Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, whom they play on the tournament's opening day. On the other hand, Yemen were pitted against Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq in Group B. (QNA)
