Nasser Al Attiyah Seals FIA Middle-East Rally

Dubai, December 01 (QNA) - Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah retained Saturday his FIA Middle-East Rally Championship title, winning it for the eighth time in his career after he came first today in the Dubai International Rally. Al Attiyah finished the race with his new Ford Fiesta RRC in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 40 seconds beating challenges from Sheikh Abdullah Al Qasimi and Rashid Al Ketbi who came second and third respectively. The title increased Al Attiyah's point-tally to 93, 41 points more than his compatriots Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari, who retired this race, and Mesfer Al Marri. The ranking of the FIA Middle-East Rally are as follows: 1) Nasser Al Attiyah 93 points. 2) Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari 52 points. 3) Mesfer Al Marri 51 points. 4) Sheikh Abdullah Al Qasimi. 5) Khalid Al Suwaidi.
