Al Shaqab Seals First Trophy in 2012 Arabian Horse World Championship

Paris, December 07 (QNA) - Al Shaqab sealed Friday its first trophy in the 2012 Arabian Horse World Championship, after it came in first place for earling Females. Another one, Janan Al Shaqab, came third in the junior category. Fay Al Shaqab came in first place with 549.5 points, half a point ahead of the second-placed pony. In the second category, Janan Al Shaqab came third with 548 points. The top two were both from the UAE. Director of Al Shaqab Fahad Al Qahtani said that participating in the 2012 Arabian Horse World Championship was part of Al Shaqab's intentions to prove that Al Shaqab breeds were one of the strongest and most beautiful. He added there is a vision in Al Shaqab, laid down by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, to put Al Shaqab breeds in the place it deserves among other Arab breeds. (QNA)
