Terrorists Seeking Sectarian Strife In Iraq: FM Spokeswoman

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Sunday that terrorist groups in Iraq are seeking sectarian and ethnic strife in the country by committing inhumane acts. Afkham strongly condemned Saturdays terrorist attacks in Baghdads Shia stronghold of Sadr City in which 70 innocent people were killed and 200 others wounded. She expressed her condolences to the Iraqi nation and government over the sad incident. Undoubtedly the terrorist groups and their allies want to take revenge on the Iraqi government and nation and undermine democracy and national solidarity in the country through such inhumane and brutal actions, she said.
