Syria Paying For Support To Resistance Movement To Israeli Occupation

Tehran, July 2, IRNA – Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud said on Tuesday that what is happening in Syria is paying for support to the resistance movement to the Israeli occupation. The ambassador made the remarks to a conference on Modern Syriaˈs Policies on Palestine and the Zionist regime. Mahmoud said that the western governments including the US and Israel above all are involved in supporting Takfiri groups in the Middle East. He said that the main goal of recent events in the Middle East region is to make us forget the issue of Palestine and based on statistics available in the first six months of Syria crisis, the western media earmarked only five percent of the broadcasts about the humanitarian crisis in Palestine and more than 80 percent to news were about the humanitarian crisis in Syria. What’s going on in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine are the US-Zionist plot with an anti-resistance movement to overshadow the dilemma of the Palestinian nation. He said that the western conspiracy aims to drive the humanitarian crisis in Palestine into oblivion. He noted that as Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has emphasized, the only way before Muslim nations of the region is the path of resistance.
