Kurdistan Workers' Party militants kidnap foreign tourist in Turkey

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 4 / Trend A. Taghiyeva / The group of militants from the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attacked a bus with foreign tourists going from Diyarbakir to Trabzon on Sunday, the newspaper Hurriyet reported today. The militants threatened the tourists with guns and robbed their money and jewelry. Then, they fled to the mountains, taking one of the tourists, a 35-year-old British citizen with them. The investigators work at the scene. The operations are being held to find the kidnapped tourist. The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, requiring the establishment of an independent Kurdish state, lasts more than 25 years. PKK is recognized by UN and EU as a terrorist organization.
