Iranian general: Syrians will never hand over their lands to Israel

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 9/Trend, D.Khatinoglu/ Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said the Syrians will never hand over their lands to Israel and the U.S., Fars News Agency reported. Syria, Iran's major ally, which is located in neighborhood with Israel, has been covered by uprising protests, which have left more than 14,000 citizens dead, including women and children, since last year. Iran is the only country in the world that defends Bashar al-Assad regime, Iranian human rights lawyer and Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi said on April 23. Firoozabadi said the U.S. and Israel wants to defeat "Syrian resistant front against Israel" and establish "Wahhabism" there with help of one of Syria's Muslim neighbors (Turkey).
