Iran executes two men convicted of spying for Mossad, CIA

TEHRAN,May 20(MNA) – Iran on Sunday hanged two men convicted of spying for Israel and the United States, the Tehran prosecutor’s office said in a report. The two men, identified as Mohammad Heydari and Kourosh Ahmadi, had been convicted of espionage and moharebeh (enmity against God) and sentenced to death by a court in Tehran. The death sentence verdicts had been upheld by the Supreme Court of Iran. According to the report, Mohammad Heydari had received money from Mossad operatives outside the country in exchange for security-related information he had gathered in the country. Kourosh Ahmadi had established a connection with CIA operatives and provided them with information about the country.
