German Bundestag delegation arrives in Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 20 / Trend, N.Kirtskhalia / A delegation of the petition committee of the German Bundestag arrived in Tbilisi on a two-day visit. As the German Embassy in Georgia said, the delegation includes Günter Baumann (CDU / CSU), Patricia Lips (CDU / CSU), Klaus Hagemann (SPD), Ottmar Schreiner (SPD), Holger Krestel (FDP), and Sabine Jünger (left party). On the first day of the visit the delegation of German MPs will meet with Georgian Parliament's chairman David Bakradze, as well as with Georgian MPs. Sectorial meetings are also expected with the chairman of the Committee on Human Rights Lasha Tordia, Public Defender George Tugushi and chairman of the Association of Young Lawyers Tamar Chugoshvili. Delegation members will receive information about the programme of the German Society for International Cooperation, aimed at reforming the court and meet with representatives of German political foundations operating in Georgia.
