FM Spokeswoman Dismisses Bahraini Officials Anti-Iran Statements

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Sunday that instead of playing blamegame and leveling baseless charges, Bahraini officials had better heed the democratic demands of their own people. Dismissing Bahraini Foreign Ministerˈs ˈbaselessˈ statement accusing Iran of training of Bahraini youth and intervention in the countryˈs internal affairs, Afkham said that the Bahraini government must go ahead with national reconciliation instead of the security officers and police confrontation with their own people. He said that the Bahraini officials should take confidence-building measures, preparing necessary grounds for serious dialogue with their own people./end
