Azerbaijani Studies Department to be created in European university

Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 June / Trend I.Isabalayeva / The Italian La Sapienza University will soon open the Azerbaijani Studies Department, according to a meeting between Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov and La Sapienza University Rector Luigi Frati. Mardanov informed the Rector that the Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​has Italian Studies Department, and noted that there is an interest in language and culture of Italy in Azerbaijan. The minister noted that the creation of the Azerbaijani Studies Department at the La Sapienza University will promote the comprehensive development of relations. The rector noted that with a formal agreement the Azerbaijani youth can be educated through the Internet in Italy. At a meeting with Francesco Profumo, the education minister in Italy, Mardanov noted that the Azerbaijani Studies Department to be established at the La Sapienza University, can become in future a center of relations between Azerbaijan and Italy. Mardanov stressed the need to increase the number of Azerbaijani students studying in Italy. The Minister also noted the possibility of allocating by government scholarships for this purpose.
