Armenians fail to hold rally in front of Azerbaijani Embassy in Poland

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 21 / Trend M. Aliyev /
The Armenians failed to hold a rally in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Poland.
A group of individuals appealed to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Warsaw and informed about the intention to hold a rally in front of the diplomatic mission, the embassy told Trend today.
A group of 20 people wanted to hold a demonstration under the slogan of "historical injustice" in front of the embassy. In this regard, the Polish relevant bodies gave permission to hold it.
"The embassy knows nothing about the individuals willing to hold rally, the organization to which they belong and the historical injustice they speak about," the embassy said. "The embassy conducted the preparatory work on several topics as the world community does not properly assess the terrible injustice of our time - the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia and the Khojaly genocide. A group of Armenians consisting of 12 people gathered to hold the two slogans, one speaking-trumpet, 2-3 Armenian flags and a camera. This stipulates the fact that their main goal was to photograph these slogans and disseminate them in the Armenian press. They have not expected us to disseminate their slogans."
The embassy organized a large-scale exhibition and appeared with the slogans "Shaumyan - terrorist, murderer, executioner," "Whole Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan," "Result of Armenian aggression - one million Azerbaijani refugees" to expose the protesters' slogans, given that June 20 is World Refugee Day.
The event was called a "manifestation". It was planned to spend half an hour for it. It started ten minutes late and ended in vain.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 per cent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France and the U.S. - are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council's four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
