Ambassador: Russian-Azerbaijani relations rapidly develop

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 28 / Trend E. Tariverdiyeva / The relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are developing rapidly, especially in recent years, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said at the opening of the third Azerbaijani-Russian inter-regional forum today. He said that 2011 was a record year as the representatives of the seven entities of the Russian Federation visited Azerbaijan. The sides signed six agreements on cooperation between the Azerbaijan and Russian regions. Today, the parties feel real benefits from developing relations, including at regional level. "The regions have made significant contributions in the record trade turnover existing between the two countries and in every sphere of cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan," the Ambassador said. "The strength of the Russian-Azerbaijani relations in the future will increasingly grow in the regional component of our cooperation," Dorokhin said. The third Azerbaijani-Russian inter-regional forum 'Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue 2012' has today opened in Baku. The forum has been organised by the 'Eurasian Research Institute' Development Fund with the support of the Azerbaijani and Russian Presidential Administrations. The representatives of the Russian central and regional bodies, large, medium and small business, Russian and Azerbaijani NGOs attended the forum. Do you have any feedback?
