TURKISH TRANSPORTATION MINISTER VISITS EXPO 2010


SHANGHAI (A.A) – 09.07.2010 – The Turkish transportation minister visited Turkey's Pavilion at the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China on Friday.
Turkey's Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim signed the special notebook at Turkish Pavilion, and wrote that this pavilion was a significant opportunity to promote Turkey. 
Yildirim later visited the Chinese Pavilion, and the Izmir stand at the Urbanian Pavilion.
In the morning, Yildirim got on a magnetic levitation train (maglev) between downtown Shanghai and Pudong International Airport. The train can have a speed over 400 km/hr, and it takes only eight minutes to travel 30 kilometers.
Yildirim is expected to depart from China on Friday evening.
Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim met Chinese Minister of Transportation Li Shenglin and Minister of Railways Liu Zhijun in Beijing on July 6.
EXPO 2010 opened in Shanghai on May 1 and will stay open till October 31 with the theme of the EXPO 2010 is "Better City, Better Life". 70 million people are expected to visit EXPO 2010.
