TURKISH BUSINESSMEN IN SUDAN

KHARTOUM (A.A) - 20.10.2009 - Turkish Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Mehmet Mehdi Eker said Monday Turkish businessmen were in Sudan to contribute to the development of "their brothers".
Speaking prior to a dinner hosted by the Sudanese Minister of Finance and National Economy Awad Ahmed al-Jaz, Eker said that the Turkish businessmen had arrived in Sudan not merely for making profits.
The businessmen, who are part of the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON), look at problems in different corners of the world as their own problems and they do want to solve those problems, Eker stressed.
There are many reasons for why Turkish businessmen could invest in Sudan, Eker noted.
Minister al-Jaz, in his part, said that they would remove all obstacles so that Turkish businessmen could invest in Sudan.
This is the high time for investments in Sudan. If you come late, you would miss the opportunities in Sudan, al-Jaz also said.
