Trainees of Qatar Diplomatic Institute Visit NATO Headquarters

Doha, December 25 (QNA) - A group of trainees at the diplomatic institute in Doha has paid a two-day visit to the NATO headquarters in Brussels last Wednesday. The delegation was welcomed upon arrival by acting Charge d' Affaires at the Embassy of Qatar in Brussels Saud bin Sultan Al Ali. During their visit, the delegation attended presentations and had discussion sessions pertaining to NATO issues including the changes within the NATO and communicating with the Gulf region. They also included NATO's operations, emerging security challenges, Mediterranean countries' dialogue, NATO's Istanbul cooperation initiative, NATO's role in planning for civil emergency operations, energy and security, and NATO's role in the fight against terrorism. This visit comes in line with the diplomatic institute's plans to introduce the staff of the ministry to various international institutes and to hone their skills. (QNA)
