Thai Princess grants audience to Chinese VP

BANGKOK, December 24 (TNA) - Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted an audience to visiting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping at Chitralada Villa in Bangkok on Friday, on behalf of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Guan Mu were also present at the royal audience. The Chinese Vice President, who is paying a three-day official to Thailand, from December 22-24, as the guest of the Thai government, also attended a luncheon reception held at the Srapathum Palace. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who was voted one of “Ten Best International Friends of China” in 2009, has played royal vital roles to promote cultural exchanges and friendly ties between Thailand and China.
