Syrian National Council Thanks Qatar for Hosting Opposition Meeting

Doha, November 07 (QNA) - President of the Syrian National Council (SNC) Abdulbassit Seda said that the Council's General Assembly meeting in Doha made a lot of achievements, the most important of which are the restructuring of SNC, approving the rules of procedure and discussing many of the reports, including the strategic report that determines the tasks in the next phase. In his speech at the closing session Abdulbassit Seda extended thanks and gratitude to HH the Emir, the Government and the people of the State of Qatar for hosting the Syrian Opposition Meeting. These achievements would not have been realized without the patronage of the State of Qatar, which has overwhelmed us with its well known generosity," he said, stressing that the Syrians will not forget their brethren who stood by their side in this ordeal. Sedan pointed out that, after the restructuring, the National Council now includes 32 field organizations working on the ground inside Syria, representing different components of Syrian community in addition to 24 community-based political bloc representing different political and intellectual mainstreams of Syria.
