QOC Celebrates National Day

Doha, December 19 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has celebrated the national day in the presence of QOC Secretary General HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, his assistants, and division directors. QOC officials gathered on the first working day, wearing national day scarfs, which featured QOC logo, Qatari flag and national day logo. The officials expressed pleasure at participating in such a precious occasion, stressing their support for the wise leadership that contributed to making Qatar one of the most beautiful and most developed countries in the world, particularly in sports. Celebrating the occasion, the committee organized its annual online competition, featuring history questions on the founder of Qatar Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani. More than 8,000 people participated in the contest, with 5,609 getting the right answers. QOC awarded valuable prizes to 30 winners and a prize draw was held on Monday. (QNA)
