Qatari Embassy in Canada Celebrates National Day

Ottawa, December 17 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Ambassador to Canada Salem Mubarak Al Shafi held Monday a reception at the Hilton Hotel to celebrate Qatar's National Day. Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs John Baird and Deputy Prime Minister Sheila Copps in addition to a number of members of the Canadian Senate attended the event. It was also attended by a number of ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Canada, and prominent political, social and media figures. The celebration included presenting a cinematic clip that reflected the economic, architectural and cultural progress that the State of Qatar was witnessing, which led to the country becoming an active part of the growth and advancement in the Arab region and the World.
