Qatari delegation visits Beit Al/Tejjar

Manama, Apr.17 (BNA) A Qatari delegation has recently paid a two-day visit to Beit Al-Tejjar and was briefed on Bahrain Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCCI) implementation of the ATA Carnet Online Application. The delegation, which represents Qatar Commerce and Industry Chamber and the General Authority of Customs, attended lectures on the ATA Carnet admission procedures. They also visited the Customs Affairs at the Bahrain International Airport and got a taste of the ATA Carnet application on the ground. BCCI delivered a visual presentation in the presence of the Qatari delegation, showcasing Bahrain's practices, being one of the first countries to join Convention relating to temporary admission (Istanbul Convention). The World Trade Organisation (WTO) covenant aims at facilitating temporary admission by simplifying and harmonising procedures through the adoption of standardised model papers as international customs documents with international security, thereby contributing to the development of international trade with Bahrain.
