Qatari Ambassador Calls On to Remove Ambiguous Concepts Attached to Islam

Seoul, September 19 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Ali bin Hamad Al Marri, who is also Dean of the Arab diplomatic missions and the President of the Korea Arab Society (KAS), has called on to remove all ambiguous concepts that some are trying to attached to Islam for malicious purposes, noting to Korea's civilized and excellent way in dealing with all religions. Addressing the opening session of the Forum of the Dialogue Between Religions, which was held in Seoul on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, and was organized by each of the Korean Conference of Religions for Peace (KCRP) and the Korea Muslim Federation (KMF) under the slogan "A Step Closer to Islam", HE the Qatari Ambassador expressed his satisfaction for organizing such event which aims to show the true and tolerant image of Islam as a religion calls for peace, compassion, peaceful coexistence and dialogue and human values, and rejects on the other hand confrontation, hateful rivalry and all forms of defamation of religions. He also praised Korea's civilized and excellent way in dealing with all religions, referring to the satisfaction of Muslims in Korea for receiving equal treatment with all other religions on the official and popular levels. HE Ambassador Ali bin Hamad Al Marri stressed that Qatar's leadership is interested in organizing such events that are consistent and in line with Qatar's continued efforts within the framework of the dissemination and promotion of the culture of dialogue among religions and civilizations and religious coexistence between different religions and sects in order to create a world based on tolerance and coexistence instead of confrontation.
