Qatar Participates in Islamic Higher Education Conference

Doha, November 20 (QNA) - Qatar is taking part in the 6th Islamic Conference for Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which kicked off Tuesday in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, with delegations from member states participating. Held by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the conference aims to provide an opportunity for ministers and representatives of member states to discuss various issues related to higher education and scientific research, evaluate and follow up on the implementation of the development strategy for science, technology and innovation. The conference will also discuss key performance indicators for universities of the Islamic world and a proposal for the establishment of an Islamic network for scientific research. Qatar's delegation to the two-day conference is headed by HE Qatari Ambassador to Sudan Rashid Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Nuaimi and includes members from Qatar University, higher education committee, and the Supreme Education Council.
