Qatar Participates in Europe Day Celebrations

Brussels, December 07 (QNA) - A band from Qatar's Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage participated in the EU's Europe Day, an annual celebration for the union. The band performed popular folklore, including Al Arda dance and other traditional arts. HE Qatar's Ambassador to Belgium Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani who is also Head of Mission to the European Union attended the celebration along with a number of EU parliamentarians, Belgian officials and a large Arab crowd. Held in Belgium for the first time, attendees largely praised the ceremony, which took place at Brussels' City Grand Hall. The Qatari band toured La Grand Place, the central square of Brussels, after the ceremony. (QNA)
