Qatar Museum Authority Nominated For Cannes Award

Doha, October 17 (QNA) - Qatar Museum Authority (QMA) has been nominated for the worldwide-known international Cannes festival award 2012 for the best film editing category of a documentary short-film entitled "Be Amusing". The film, produced by Resolution Productions, is the creation of QMA s human resources team to sport Qatar career fair that was held last February in London. The film links between a local and an international vision of the QMA, as well as displaying the Authority s work environment. In a statement contained in a press release here on Wednesday, Head of QMA s Human resources Sector Shorouq Al Malki said that was the first time ever a GCC state organization is nominated for this prestigious award. She said QMA s nomination for a Cannes award is deemed a major headway placing Qatar among top Global theatres. Meanwhile, Managing Director and Owner of Resolution Productions, Kirby Kearns, said the film s nomination for the award is a culmination of the team s work and their ability to produce a competitive film worth appearing in Cannes International Film Festival. The festival is annually held in France gathering a huge number of film industry icons. (QNA)
