Qatar, Barbados Signs Agreement on Avoidance of Dual Taxation

Doha, December 09 (QNA) - Governments of the State of Qatar and Barbados have signed an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with regard to taxes on income. The agreement was signed by Director of the Department of Public Revenues and Taxes at the Ministry of Economy and Finance Muftah Jassim Al-Muftah and Barbados Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Maxine McClean. The agreement aims to increase cooperation and support exchanges between the two countries, especially with regard to the financial and economic sector to open broad prospects for cooperation between the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) and financial authorities in Barbados.
