Qatar Awqaf Ministry Holds Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque Photo Gallery

Doha, December 15 (QNA) - The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs inaugurated on Saturday evening in the courtyard of the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab mosque an exhibition showcasing photographs of the mosque as well as launched the mosque website as part of its activities to mark the first anniversary of its inauguration, which coincides with December 16. The Gallery is one of four similar exhibitions being held at each of the Qatar Islamic Cultural Center (FANAR) and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs premises and Souq Waqif. The exhibitions with photos selected out of 3500 mosque photographs introduce visitors to the design of Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque and its facilities. They also reflected the aesthetics of this Islamic edifice which was built according to the old Qatari architectural design. In a statement to reporters, Director of Mosques at Awqaf Ministry Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwari said the exhibition is one of the activities being conducted to mark the first anniversary of the Imam mosque, which represents a unique architectural masterpiece and an important center for preaching as well as a beacon of knowledge and culture.
