QA Seeks Innovative and Inspiring Scarf Designs in Competition Celebrating National Day

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - Qatar Airways is running an innovative and inspiring scarf design competition in celebration of the State of Qatar s National Day on December 18. Contestants are invited to log onto www.qatarairways.com/nationalday and use simple elements provided in the website to design their own version of the National Day scarf. Entries can be submitted till midnight, Saturday December 15. The best design with the most number of votes will win a grand prize of a pair of return tickets to any of Qatar Airways over 120 global destinations. Four runner-ups have a chance to win 50,000 qmiles each from Qatar Airways Privilege Club programme for frequent flyers. Winners will be selected based on the maximum number of votes. There are no restrictions on voting and entrants are encouraged to reach out to their social networks for support. The contest has seen tremendous response so far with nearly 14,000 scarf design submissions having received more than 204,400 votes. The winning entries will be announced on January 16, 2013. To commemorate Qatar s National Day, Qatar Airways is also giving away National Day scarves on a first come first serve basis on December 17th and 18th at the airline s sales offices in Qatar.
