Nakilat-Keppel Offshore and Marine Wins Shipyard Award

Doha, November 27 (QNA) - Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) has been conferred the Ship repair/Shipyard award at the Seatrade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards 2012 held on 26 November 2012 at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai. The win comes a month after the shipyard was named 'Shipyard of the Year' at the Lloyd's List Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards 2012 and three days after celebrating its second year anniversary. Furthermore, the company was recently certified by the American Petroleum Institute for API-Q1 (8th ed), API-2B, API-4F, ISO/TS 29001 and ISO 9001, all of which serve to enhance the shipyards' suite of services to the oil and gas industry. Dedicated to providing world-class services, N-KOM has already been certified by Det Norkse Veritas (DNV) for Quality (ISO 9001), Occupational Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Environmental Management (ISO 14001). The ISPS-certified facility has also been accredited by ASME (U, U2, PP and S stamps) and received the National Board 'R' Stamp.
