JAKARTA, Feb 3 (Antara) - London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta has organized the 7th Performing Arts Communications (PAC) Festival and the 18th Theatre Festival from Jan 12 to Feb 1, 2017, which are part of the curriculum
A statement from LSPR Jakarta received by Antara here on Thursday mentioned that the annual events involved 19 classes, consisting of five classes of PAC Department and 14 classes of Business Studies.
The two events are a series of programs to celebrate the 25th anniversary of LSPR Jakarta in July 2017.
The aim of PAC is to produce professionals and artistic communicators.
"The festivals were organized with Shakespeare as theme to commemorate the 400th death anniversary of William Shakespeare," Dean of PAC Department, Renata Tirta Kurniawan, said.
The Arts Communication Festival is an annual event held as a final exam for students majoring in PAC.
The musical performances held by the LSPR students are titled "Will Power Music Concert," "The Library Music Concert," and "A Writer's Block Music Concert," and the shows that collaborate film and theater are titled "Shakespeare's Tragedy" and "5 Shades of Shakespeare."
In 2008, LSPR Jakarta received a prestigious award from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) as the first institution to make the longest theater production.
Up to 2017, LSPR has produced more than 200 titles of theatrical performances, and it is most likely the highest theater production communication college in the world.
