Libyan Prime Minister Meets Qatar's Attorney General

Tripoli, December 08 (QNA) - Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zaidan conferred Saturday with HE Attorney General and UN Special Advocate for Stolen Asset Recovery Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri. Al Marri briefed Libyan Prime Minister on the outcomes of the Arab Forum on Asset Recovery hosted by Doha last September. He also presented the recommendations of the Forum, about which they exchanged views. HE Al Marri also conferred with Governor Central Bank of Libya Omar Akbar Siddiqui, where they discussed a number of issues, notably mechanisms to recover the money looted and ways of providing technical assistance and capacity building through the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre in Doha in collaboration with the United Nations and the World Bank. The meetings were attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Libya Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, and the delegation accompanying the Attorney General. (QNA)
