KAZAKHSTAN'S NAME IS PERPETUATED ON THE HIGHEST PEAK

Astana, June 4 (Khabar) - Nur Otan Party hails climber Maksut Zhumayev.

In May, a Kazakhstan sportsmen, the captain of the Republic's national mountain climbing team, Maksut Zhumayev installed the national flag of Kazakhstan as well as Astana's coat of arms and the Nur Otan Party's flag at one of the highest peaks of Nepal. His ascension to the 8-thousand metres Manaslu, Maksut Zhumayev dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Astana with the climber having told the chairman of the Nur Otan parliamentary faction, Ural Mukhametzhanov about his expedition to the peak.

Maksut Zhumayev, captain, Kazakhstan International Climbing Team - It was a new ascension for me. As I said, I passed through not onlyphysical difficulties I also experienced some moral barrier as unexpected things might happen there in the mountains. I am happy to have implemented such a social campaign to satisfy my sport ambitions and to introduce my state abroad and to make it glorious.

Maksut Zhumayev was also received by the secretary of the "Nur Otan" Party's central office in Astana, Serik Akhmetov.
