Katara Appoints New General Manager

Doha , October 21 (QNA) - Katara Cultural Village Foundation announced Sunday Dr. Khalid Ibrahim Al Sulaiti as its new General Manager, in a bid to attract Qatari cadres capable of managing Katara on the international stage. The foundation released a statement today expressing its hope that Al Sulaiti's long experience in managing big corporations will help Katara achieve its mission of education and entertainment. The President of Katara, Abdul Rahman Al-Khulaifi said that the appointment of Al Sulaiti was part of the foundation's policy of attracting new distinguished Qatari cadres. Al Khulaifi said that implementing the policy will be one of Katara's achievements. The President of Katara stressed that Al Sulaiti's experience in the business world will help make him a vital member of the work team in Katara. It will also help him play an anchor role in achieving Katara's cultural and artistic goals, Al Khulaifi said. For his part, Al Sulaiti expressed his delight and pride with his new role with Katara. He said that the cultural village has always been a testament to the serious work conducted to meet the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. Al Sulaiti was chosen by Arabian Business magazine as one of the 500 most influential people in the Middle East. He was the general manager of First Finance for five years. (QNA)
