Justice Ministry Organizes Introductory Seminar on Corporate Labour Law

Doha, Dec 26 (QNA) - The Labour Inspection Department at the Ministry of Justice today organized an introductory seminar on Corporate Labour Law within the framework of its awareness role and as part of a series of seminar organized by the department twice a month. Khalid Al Ghanim, Director of Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labour said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that these seminars are important to get acquainted with the laws, activities and developments carried out by the department. He pointed out that the seminars gather representatives of companies and reply to their inquiries and types of violations as 20 companies take part in each seminar. Al-Ghanim also talked about work development at the Labour Inspection Department during which he reviewed the work nature at the department related to receiving complaints, work contracts and salaries to ensure their occurrence through the relevant company. He added that a joint committee was formed with the Supreme Council for Health to observe activating the article No. 104 from the Labour Law No. 14 for 2004, as well as the ministerial decision No. 16 for 2005 pertaining to organizing the medical care for workers at establishments. The committee aims at activating cooperation between the concerned departments at the Supreme Council for Health and the Ministry of Labour in relation to clinics license, which will be opened at the companies, in addition to observing the process of appointing doctors and nurses in a manner that suits procedures enforced by the Supreme Council for Health.
