International Court of Qatar and the Dispute Settlement Centre Appoints New Execution Judge

Doha, October 10 (QNA) - Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (Qicdrc) today appointed Judge Rashid Al-Bader as execution judge, after he was sworn in at a ceremony chaired by Chief Justice, Head of the Court of Cassation and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Masoud bin Mohamed Al-Amiri and Qicdrc President Lord Phillips. A Qicdrc statement, issued today, said as per this appointment Judge Rashid Al-Bader, who will continue his position as President of the Court of Appeal, will be responsible for enforcing the rules, decisions and orders of Qatar International Court. Chief Justice Masoud Mohamed Al-Amiri expressed pleasure over the accession of Al-Bader to be the second judge to join this court, which is intended to be a creative nucleus for a pure Qatari judicial work with international standards and roles. For his part, Lord Phillips said that although the judicial authority of Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre is international in nature, its rules and orders will be enforced as rules and orders issued by a Qatari court.(QNA)
