HRH Premier, HRH Crown Prince highlight government initiatives

Manama, June 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. The two leaders lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's interest in the citizens' issues, and constant follow-up on the efforts to develop the government's work, citing the directives he issued to them when he received them regarding serving the citizens and improving government work. HRH Premier and HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the government's various initiatives aiming to enhance the national action march and accelerate development strides which, they said, are based on solid economic foundations that support them and enable them to achieve the goals of the nation and the citizens. They affirmed that the government's efforts to improve services and ensure the requirements of decent living to the citizens will continue unwavering, noting that development and modernisation programmes will also go ahead as planned to improve government performance and fulfill the aspirations of the citizens. On regional issues, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince asserted that the region is surrounded by multiple challenges that cannot be addressed unless full cooperation and coordination are stepped up. They stressed the need to adopt new and stronger strategies and forms of regional cooperation to confront the extremist ideology which has become a serious through to the region, and therefore requires unified stances to combat it.
