HH Sheikha Moza Visits Qatar Scientific Club

Doha, December 03 (QNA) - Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser visited this morning Qatar Scientific Club. HH Sheikha Moza was welcomed upon arrival by Board Chairman of the Scientific Club HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid Al Thani, and a number of Board members . At the outset of the visit, HH Sheikha Moza met with the Club's Board Chairman and Board members and was briefed on the achievements of the club, its scientific projects and the innovations made by the Qatari youth during the history of the Club. HH then toured the various sections of the Club including the Department of Mechanical Engineering Science, Wireless Aviation Amateurs Centre, Electronics and Computer Unit, Media Centre and the Department of Astronomy and Multiple Innovations Gallery. HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser described the Qatar Scientific Club as a main base for the adoption, highlighting and encouraging of talents, and is one of the first institutions that sponsored the spirit of innovation in Qatar. HH Sheikha Moza expressed pleasure over meeting with the talented youth. After touring the Club's different divisions and after being briefed on the scientific projects and innovations, HH Sheikh Moa praised the gifted youth, saying: "They reflect the scientific level which the club reached during its drive." She added: "The level renews hope in ourselves and invites us to more innovation, stressing that the club must be one of the most important scientific incubators. For his part, HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid welcomed the visit of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, saying the visit reaffirms her care for the club and her incessant support of scientific and educational activities in the state. Sheikh Ahmed added that the visit, which is HH's first one, is an honour as it represents a strong push for pressing ahead with further innovations and scientific projects. Sheikh Ahmed confirmed that the visit " gave us in the Board of Directors a great moral boost and also encouraged the young people in the club due to the great care they saw from HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.(QNA)
