Hakim: Iran's Interference In Iraqi affairs, Particularly Its Involvement In the Battles Against Daesh Is Exaggerated

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim said Iraq will remain raising an olive branch to his Arabs brothers; and the Iraqi hands will remain extended to all Arabs. Hakim, during a meeting last night, with the Kuwaiti journalists delegation, who is visiting Baghdad now, accompanied by the head of Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the number of members of the Council and its advisory body said: we and the Arab countries are brothers and have one fate and common future, and we must pass above differences and trends that prevent our rapprochement and overcome adversity with solid will. Hakim said what is being said in the media about Iran's interference in Iraqi affairs, particularly its involvement in the battles against Daesh is exaggerated and the Iranian experts and military advisers do not exceed dozens and they only advice, but who cleanse and liberate land and confront Daesh are Iraqi fighters. On the relationship with Saudi Arabia, al-Hakim said that Saudi Arabia is the elder Arab neighbor, and my conviction is that Iraq did not fail to raise the olive branch, and there are multiple visits to Iraqi officials to Saudi Arabia, but at the same time any Saudi official did not visit Iraq and this is our blame to our brothers in Saudi Arabia. Hakim pointed out that the Arab states left Iraq fighting terrorism alone, despite the fact that Iraq had his hands outstretched to Arabs, while Iran initiated when it found that the risk of Daesh on the doors, so it supported Iraq in all its military weight which should be mentioned. In domestic affairs, Hakim said that Iraq has a great opportunity to develop and produce a sincere national project transient communities and nationalities in all its forms and names./ end
