Foreign Ministry's undersecretary chairs meeting

Manama, Apr. 9 (BNA): The National Committee for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons convened here today, under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Undersecretary and Committee Chairman Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla. The committee discussed the plan of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons as well as the forthcoming visit of a work team delegation from the European Union Centre of Excellence on Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Risk Mitigation (CBRN). They discussed developing the committee work mechanisms, through developing statements and monitoring. A number of committee members also briefed the meeting on their participation in regional and international meetings related to the prohibition of chemical weapons.
