Doha GOALS' Director: Forum's Success Due to Support of HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - The Executive Director of Doha Goals Forum, HE Sheikh Faisal bin Mubarak Al Thani, reiterated on Tuesday that the Doha GOALS event wouldn't have been a success without the due care and unlimited support of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani as well as Their Highnesses' faith in sports as a tool to boost economy and confront challenges. Addressing the opening ceremony of Doha GOALS Forum at Aspire Sports Academy today , HE Sheikh Faisal said the Aspire Sports Academy that gathers many young people from across the globe, is the best example of the due attention given to Sports in Doha. The sports day initiative is another example of the multiple ways Qatar's leadership gives to sports, he added. HE explained that this event creates a platform for many decision makers and leading minds in the sports field to come together. The Executive Director of Doha Goals Forum meantime emphasized that this sports event seized the sports as an opportunity to confront social and economic challenges across the globe. HE Sheikh Faisal stressed that the Doha GOALS Forum will be able to create a connection between athletes, decision makers, academics, and governmental and non-governmental organisations (NGO) . The Doha GOALS Forum aims at creating partnerships and initiatives to help individuals and communities, alike, have a better life thus achieving global progress through sport. (QNA)
