COVID-19 cases rise by 1,311 in the last 24 hours

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11 a.m., today, the Ministry of Health provided updates on the COVID-19 situation in Mongolia. According to the Ministry of Health, 1,311 people were confirmed with coronavirus after performing 10,431 tests nationwide in the last 24 hours. 1,214 of the confirmed cases were recorded in Ulaanbaatar city while 97 were registered in rural areas. As a result, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia have reached 24,195. In the last 24 hours, 459 people have been discharged from hospital, making the number of recoveries 12,860. As of today, 3,520 people are undergoing treatment and of whom 63 are in very critical health condition. Two people aged 75 and 82 have died from coronavirus. The two coronavirus-related deaths were reported in the capital city and Zavkhan aimag.
