BMA: Post-flood garbage will be cleared by X'Mas

BANGKOK, December 24 (TNA) - Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra has announced that most of post-flood garbage in the capital will be cleared by Christmas, December 25, as a year-end present for Bangkok residents. According to the governor, workers of his Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) have collected over 13,560 tonnes of garbage as of this week. The governor said that a big pile of garbage has remained in Bangkok’s eight districts, including Laksi, Taweewattana, Bang Kae, Taling Chan, Bang Khen, Sai Mai, Don Mueang and Nong Khaem, with about 6,000 tonnes left in Don Mueang alone. The Bangkok governor acknowledged that only in Nong Khaem, where garbage collection will be finished by December 28, due to a number of side-streets in the areas. (TNA)
