BCCI denounces Iran's blatant interference

Manama, July 25 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) strongly denounced the Iranian interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs. It said in a statement by its Board Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Al Moayed that those continuous provocations do not serve relations between both countries, mainly in the economic field. The chamber condemned those provocations taking pride in the stance of the Bahraini national forces and the civil society institutions against the Iranian interference and all attempts to undermine the kingdom’s security and stability. The chamber stressed that Bahrain’s Arab identity, independence and sovereignty can never be compromised and all the Bahraini people stand by the side of the leadership in asserting that. It added that dual loyalty is categorically rejected as allegiance must be to Bahrain only. The BCCI Board Chairman affirmed that the chamber and the business community in Bahrain strongly condemn Iran’s provocative statements and consider them as a blatant interference in the internal affairs of an independent and sovereign country which is a member of the United Nations. He also warned of the negative repercussions of that interference on economic and commercial relations between Iran and Bahrain and the GCC and Arab countries. The BCCI Board Chairman reiterated loyalty of the chamber and the business community to the leadership, praising the numerous achievements brought about in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
